About Cross Cultural Consultants
Cross Cultural Consultants (CCC) is an Aboriginal-owned and managed consultancy and strategic training company which has been in operation for over 35 years. CCC is committed to creating opportunities for social, economic and cultural development through our service delivery, and providing solutions which supports Closing the Gap and Reconciliation in Australia.
With a focus on community development, and a niche in cross cultural settings, CCC works with clients across the spectrum including all levels of government, the not-for-profit sector and private industry. CCC supports clients with hands-on capacity building, co-design, community and stakeholder engagement, strategy development, evaluation, and participatory learning and action at project, program and policy levels.
CCC's head office is based in Darwin, although our work takes us across Australia and internationally.
About the Roles
CCC is seeking expressions of interest from First Nations sole traders to join our growing network for consultancy work as a facilitator, trainer, or both.
As a facilitator working with CCC, you will support our work undertaking community and stakeholder engagement around the country, working with all levels of government, the community sector and private industry. CCC's approach to working with clients and communities prioritises culturally safe and appropriate engagement methodologies, aligned with international best practice (the Engagement Institute / IAP2). Our work extends across all kinds of issue areas, including health, mining and energy, education, business and economic development, environment and biosecurity, among others.
Cross Cultural Trainer
As a cross cultural trainer working with CCC, you will support delivery of CCC's cross cultural training, which we have been delivering nationally and internationally for over 30 years. CCC offers a range of learning options for anyone working in cross cultural context. Our courses are designed for all individuals, organisations and companies, assisting people to better understand, work and communicate effectively across diverse working environments. Our programs and services provide a pathway for staff and the organisation as a whole to embed foundational cultural learning and individual reflective practice, based on a suite of training programs that allows for flexibility and adaption.
What We Are Looking For
Candidates will need to meet the following requirements:
Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Operate as a sole trader.
Ideal candidates will also meet some of the following requirements:
At least 3 years of facilitation experience, and/or facilitation qualifications through recognised organisations like the Engagement Institute (formally IAP2).
Experience working with government, industry or the community sectors.
Tertiary level education.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
Excellent people and communication skills, especially in a cross-cultural context.
Demonstrated organisational skills.
Trainers
Candidates will need to meet the following requirements:
Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Operate as a sole trader.
Be based in the Northern Territory.
Ideal candidates will also meet some of the following requirements:
At least 3 years of training/facilitation experience.
Experience with public speaking and presenting at forums.
Excellent people and communication skills, especially in a cross-cultural context.
Demonstrated organisational skills.
Comfortable unpacking cross cultural issues and tackling questions.
Ability to deliver structured courses and adapt to tailor content as required.
