This contract opportunity allows you to parachute in and work with an experienced team as the Workplace Relations Specialist. You will act as the point of escalation for complex case management and investigations across Australia.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Providing hands-on support in employee relations, including conducting performance meetings, running investigations and disciplinary meetings;
  • Developing tools for managers to manage this process effectively within their teams, including the development of a performance flow chart;
  • Working autonomously across a broad and diverse blue and white collar workforce, building strong relationships across all levels of the business.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and align their Employee Relations approach with the practical needs of the business. You must be driven, engaging, approachable, and self-assured in your ER practice.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong employee relations and case management experience, including conducting investigations, performance management and award interpretation;
  • An understanding of government regulators (e.g. Fair Work Ombudsman);
  • Experience working within heavy industry – preferable;
  • An in-depth knowledge of relevant and contemporary HR issues, methodologies and practices;
  • The ability to achieve results through collaboration and influencing;
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills.
