Job Overview

The Investment Associate role at our organisation plays a pivotal part in shaping and executing investments within the renewable energy sector.

The primary focus of this position is on financial modelling, project finance support, investment analysis, and capital raising assistance.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the evaluation and execution of investments with a focus on:
  • Modelling for internally developed Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects
  • Project and corporate financing
  • Due diligence and investor materials
  • Investor and lender engagement support
  • Construction oversight and portfolio monitoring

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop models for internally developed BESS projects
  • Assist in project finance transactions and lender cases
  • Prepare investor-facing materials (teasers, IMs, pitch decks)
  • Support evaluation of offers and financing options
  • Maintain relationships with banks and investors

Strategic Development

  • Analyse mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and alternatives
  • Contribute to platform funding strategies
  • Support implementation of stage-gate and investment frameworks

Project Development

  • Support due diligence of potential project acquisitions
  • Assist in preparing responses to government off-take tenders
  • Analyse offtake contracts and revenue mechanisms

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Finance/Economics/Engineering
  • Proven modelling and transaction execution track record
