Casual Work Opportunity: Operations Driver

As an Operations Driver, you will be part of our team responsible for managing our e-scooter and e-bike fleets. Your primary role will involve driving a service vehicle (typically a van, ute, or small electric vehicle) to pick up e-scooters and e-bikes across the city and relocating them to high-demand areas. You may work independently or be paired with a ground patroller to support your tasks. This hands-on position requires individuals who enjoy driving, physical activity, and seeking challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a service vehicle safely and efficiently to manage e-scooter and e-bike fleets.
  • Pick up e-scooters and e-bikes from various locations and transport them to high-demand areas.
  • Work collaboratively with ground patrollers to achieve fleet management objectives.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate records of vehicle usage and condition.
  • Ensure timely delivery of e-scooters and e-bikes to designated locations.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Adhere to Neuron Mobility's safety protocols and guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

  • A valid Queensland open class driver's licence.
  • A minimum of 20 hours availability per week.
  • Flexibility to work regular evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • The ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects (up to 25-28 kg).
  • Previous driving experience (e.g., courier, Uber, removalist) is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • A safe and competent driver with the ability to handle a vehicle responsibly.
  • A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Able to provide exceptional customer experiences and assist customers with basic queries.
  • A team player who thrives in fast-paced environments and can adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Must be aged 21 or over to apply.
  • A suitable smartphone (generally an Apple or Android device from 2018 or newer) is required for this role.
