Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to provide clinical expertise in implementing behaviour support interventions.

This role will involve providing leadership, mentoring and support to the team around positive behaviour support, working closely with executive managers and clinical team leaders to ensure quality clinical expertise is utilised to deliver contemporary therapy services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a clinical portfolio requiring positive behaviour support interventions, ensuring customer and family input into service planning, and providing discipline-specific intervention.

Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating interventions that influence behaviours of concern, working within an interdisciplinary team, communicating effectively and influencing stakeholders, and leading a team to achieve customer and family outcomes.

About this Role:

Applicants should have demonstrated experience working with people with psychosocial disability, families and carers within a systems context, and possess a commitment to values such as dignity, respect, inclusion, empowerment and confidentiality.

They should also have extensive experience in using a range of models and strategies, and a high level of written and computer skills, including the ability to develop, prepare, present and evaluate training packages.

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree (preferably) and significant experience working with people with disabilities who have high support needs.

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
