Our team is seeking a skilled Positive Behaviour Practitioner to join our growing Perth operation. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to advocate for clients and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
About the RoleThis Behaviour Support Practitioner position involves delivering meaningful support to NDIS participants across community, clinic, and telehealth settings. You will be based in Perth and work closely with our multidisciplinary team in an environment that values professional development and aims to improve quality of life for participants and their support networks.
- Develop strong relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders.
- Conduct comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying needs.
- Design and implement person-centred Behaviour Support Plans that promote positive change.
- Provide education and training to carers and support teams to build capacity and confidence.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines by reviewing and actively reducing restrictive practices.
- Collect and analyse data regularly to monitor progress and inform ongoing support strategies.
- You are endorsed as 'Core' or above against the PBS Capability Framework (evidence of letter of suitability from the NDIS Commission also required).
- You hold a relevant bachelor's degree (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Social, Disability, Teaching or Social Sciences).
- You have full Australian working rights.
- You have prior experience in community, private or acute settings.
- You have access to your own vehicle and hold a current driver's licence.
- You have or are willing to obtain a NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check.
