About the Role

This is a key leadership position responsible for managing procurement functions across multiple sites. The Procurement Manager reports directly to the Commercial Manager and oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of procurement systems and processes.

The successful candidate will lead cross-functional working groups to drive performance in procurement and transform the organisation from transactional to strategic sourcing.

This role requires strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on implementing efficient and effective procurement practices that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage expertise to develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and strategies to drive cost savings and process improvements.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing procurement team, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure excellence in service delivery.
  • Maintain robust relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to secure mutually beneficial agreements and contracts.
  • Collaborate with senior management to inform procurement decisions and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and opportunities associated with procurement activities.
Requirements
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or Law, or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least five years' experience in a senior procurement management role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of driving organisational change and improving procurement performance.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining procurement systems, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
