About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Work Health and Injury Prevention Advisor to join our team at AnglicareSA. As a key member of our Safety, Quality, Risk and Assurance (SQRA) team, you will play a critical role in enhancing workplace wellbeing and promoting safety.

As a Work Health & Injury Prevention Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting the SQRA team with the assessment, development and implementation of psychosocial initiatives, including the development of assessment tools and resources and delivering training to employees and managers.

You will provide expert advice and guidance on employee wellbeing, injury prevention initiatives, and psychological hazards, and implement continuous improvement of injury prevention resource information, safety training modules, and provide recommendations on risks.

Additionally, you will support the delivery of workplace injury management and coordinate early intervention services, including Recovery, Return to Work, and Wellbeing Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the SQRA team with the assessment, development and implementation of psychosocial initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on employee wellbeing, injury prevention initiatives, and psychological hazards.
  • Implement continuous improvement of injury prevention resource information, safety training modules, and provide recommendations on risks.
  • Support the delivery of workplace injury management and coordinate early intervention services.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health, such as a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field with a strong emphasis on psychological health.
  • Proven experience in identifying and addressing psychological factors impacting work performance and safety.
  • Ability to identify and address risks associated with incidents and employees, including analysing health and safety data and trends, and developing appropriate strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Demonstrable understanding of employee wellbeing and injury prevention best practices, including knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Effective and empathetic negotiation, conflict resolution, and mediation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build trust and cooperation with managers, workers, and external stakeholders.
