Senior Financial Director

About the Position:

The Senior Financial Director is responsible for leading the finance team, collaborating with business planning and performance reporting to improve financial frameworks and deliver strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a high-performing culture by inspiring and leading teams.
  • Provide strategic leadership of financial operations, including unclaimed money functions.
  • Develop long-term financial strategies, oversee financial management, and prepare consolidated year-end financial statements.
  • Promote financial compliance, partner with senior leaders to achieve business outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing financial expertise and supporting the development of strategic plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience in managing large teams, driving financial performance, and developing strategic partnerships. You will possess excellent communication skills, be able to operate strategically across the business, and demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems. You will also have a proven track record in senior executive roles within the public sector.
