Murchison, Australia Ventia Full time

Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company operating across Australia and New Zealand, delivering essential services to the communities in which we operate. We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance expert to join our team as part of the Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO) Project.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a world-renowned project that will become the world's largest and most advanced radio telescope, with support from 16 countries. As a Quality Assurance expert, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring service excellence across multiple work fronts, overseeing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC), collaborating closely with various subcontractors and the project management team to implement project-specific management plans, including Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) protocols.

The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project is an ambitious, multi-country collaboration aiming to build the world's largest radio telescope network. The Australian site will feature critical infrastructure, including power and fibre networks and the design, fabrication and commissioning of the Central Processing Facility (CPF) and Remote Processing Facilities (RPF). This is a high-profile project with significant global impact, blending technical innovation and international collaboration.

This role involves a 2:1 FIFO roster, with an expected mix of site work at the Murchison site and Welshpool Laydown Yard. There will be a training period, which will see you working locally before moving into a full-time FIFO role.

As a Quality Assurance expert, you will have the opportunity to expand your career in an iconic and globally impactful project. You will be responsible for reviewing QA documents from subcontractors, arranging and witnessing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), conducting quality inspections, raising non-conformances and overseeing corrective actions, developing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and checklists, gathering data for process optimisation, and ensuring quality between subcontractors and clients during various activities throughout the Project Lifecycle in accordance with Handover Takeover (HOTO).

To be successful in this role, you will need extensive experience as a Quality Advisor in major construction projects, experience with Mechanical or Structural Fabrication, a proven ability to research information and find solutions, strong monitoring and reporting skills, the ability to develop internal auditing tools and conduct internal audits, experience influencing and leading work crews in a challenging construction environment, and the ability to work under pressure, be well organised, and complete projects on or ahead of time.

The estimated annual salary for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$150,000, depending on experience. If you are a motivated and experienced Quality Assurance professional looking to take your career to the next level, please apply now.
