Talent International is seeking a skilled Release Train Engineer to lead the execution of Agile Release Trains against agreed Program Increment plans and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for effective planning, monitoring, and reporting of agile delivery teams to deliver on the program's strategy.
- Ensure alignment of all agile teams with agile and scrum processes, practices, patterns, and principles, and contribute to the organization's progress in agile maturity.
- Conduct complex agile ceremonies, including program increment planning, showcases, scrum of scrums, system demos, and retrospectives, as well as synchronization across the train and improvement planning.
- Drive, manage, and coordinate team objectives for the program increment, create and publish roadmaps for visibility and transparency.
- Provide business-critical authoritative and expert advice to senior managers and executive-level staff to define and implement governance frameworks for the release train.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Release Train Engineer working in a large ICT program.
- Experience in leading in a range of iterative, incremental, and agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, ScrumBan, SAFe, DevOps).
- Proven facilitation and leadership skills in delivering continuous product and service delivery, utilizing demonstrated agile management practices.
- Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of project best practices, as well as knowledge of new or emerging technologies and their potential value to the organization.
- Prior public sector experience is desirable.
- Initial 12-month contract with potential to extend.
- Melbourne CBD location with working from home options.
- Government department with multiple streams to manage.
