Establishing Sustainable Tenancies in Aboriginal Communities
Job Description:
Aboriginal Housing Victoria seeks a skilled professional to manage tenancies with our client base, ensuring the delivery of secure housing services to those most in need. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to building relationships with support services and strengthening community capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain sustainable tenancies with Aboriginal clients
- Undertake property management duties, including inspections and reporting
- Develop and maintain relationships with local support services to enhance client outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to achieve positive results
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal cultures and the issues affecting Aboriginal people in contemporary Australia
- Knowledge of tenancy and property management requirements for Aboriginal housing providers or public housing authorities
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate high levels of personal responsibility
- Experience working effectively with clients with complex needs and conflict resolution skills
