Job Title: Weekend Cook

This is a part-time position working on weekends to prepare pre-planned daily meal services for our residents in a small yet fast-paced kitchen environment.

\

As a skilled Cook/Kitchenhand, you will enjoy working with fellow Food & Beverage staff to ensure smooth lunch and dinner service, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.

\

The role involves preparing and cooking meals, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring the kitchen equipment is well-maintained.

\

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $29.92, plus relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances, as well as superannuation.

\

Additional benefits include 1.5x penalty rates on Saturday and 1.75x penalty rates on Sunday, employee referral programs, discounts to health insurance and retail partners, and access to a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook daily meal services
  • Monitor food safety plans and maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Manage the maintenance and upkeep of kitchen equipment
  • Work collaboratively with fellow Food & Beverage staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure supplies are well-stocked and rotated properly

Requirements:

  • Experience in Cook, Chef, Kitchen Hand or restaurant settings
  • Friendly and warm personality with a passion for food and chatting with residents
  • Current Police check (we can assist with this)
  • Minimum of two COVID-19 vaccinations
