We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Protection Specialist to join our team at Downer. As a key member of our Power Projects Team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and advice on all testing and commissioning activities for critical HV substations across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing and Commissioning: Coordinate and execute testing and commissioning activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of HV substations.
- Technical Expertise: Provide diagnostic testing and maintenance services for electrical protection and control relays and equipment, including fault finding of secondary systems.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation during the feasibility or tendering stage, including project plans and technical reports.
- Site Management: Effectively control the site's secondary electrical and SCADA apparatus, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and implementing Zero Harm initiatives.
About You
- Qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Power Systems or similar, with demonstrated technical expertise and experience working across power systems.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
