Job Title: Slitter Operator - Print Production Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Slitter to join our team at our Dandenong South site. As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality rewind as per the instruction provided via the Job Ticket.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing high-quality rewind as per the instruction provided via the Job Ticket.
  • Supervising and instructing assigned Assistants to ensure they understand and follow FSC22000 and ISO processes.
  • Managing the continued implementation of HACCP and ISO policies, including maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work area.
  • Ensuring a smooth handover to the next shift.
  • Reporting any equipment faults or breakdowns and assisting in their resolution.
  • Managing systems and processes to reduce quality issues from raw material to finished goods.
  • Implementing customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Investigating and reporting on waste percentages and process improvements to reduce waste.
  • Following work, safety, or procedural instructions from senior management.
  • Continuous process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Slitting experience is essential.
  • Experience within the packaging industry will be highly regarded.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Strong practical skills and knowledge of machinery.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Good concentration.
  • The motivation to remain educated and up to date with developments in the printing industry.
