About this role

The Manager, Natural Disaster and Drought will prepare and coordinate QRIDA’s response and in-field presence to declared disaster events, engaging with government and industry stakeholders. This role contributes to QRIDA’s efforts to improve its disaster recovery preparation and readiness.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate QRIDA's in-field staffing, resources, and response when administering financial assistance programs following a declared disaster event.
  • Liaise with key State and Federal government stakeholders regarding frontline response, applicant queries, and disaster recovery issues.
  • Represent QRIDA on disaster assistance recovery and drought matters in stakeholder forums, events, and media.
