Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive financial plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to senior management.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Lead and manage the finance team to achieve organizational goals.
Requirements
  • Experience serving in senior management positions, preferably in a major mass merchant or department store arena.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualifications.
  • Proven professional experience in finance, including accounting, payroll, general ledger, tax, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of expense control and meeting budgets.
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Australian financial regulatory requirements.
  • Prior experience in attracting and leading high-caliber professionals.
  • Excellent supervisory, delegation, organizational, and communication skills.
