Compliance Risk Leader

As a senior leader within our compliance advisory function, you will play a pivotal role in helping us meet our regulatory obligations and manage compliance risks.

This key position is responsible for leading a team of experts who assess compliance risks, monitor incidents, and ensure alignment with internal policies and values. You will work closely with senior leaders across the organization to implement our compliance strategic objectives, including the embedment of roles and responsibilities across multiple lines of defense.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Effective leadership of the compliance advisory team, providing training, support, and engagement to ensure compliance and strategic objectives are met.
  2. Maintaining continuous improvement and compliance knowledge across the team.
  3. Working with senior leadership to implement compliance strategic objectives, including embedding roles and responsibilities across multiple lines of defense.
  4. Assisting reform/obligation owners in ensuring regulatory changes are implemented in a compliant manner, reviewing policies, procedures, system changes, training, assessing impact on the risk profile, and implementing controls.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of line 1 compliance and/or risk, with experience in retail banking or a recent background in financial services. They must be able to balance hands-on technical compliance work with strategic thinking to lead and embed compliance management across the organization.
