A Meaningful Conversation Volunteer Opportunity

We are seeking a kind-hearted individual to visit an elderly lady who's feeling lonely. She enjoys discussing current affairs and would like to meet someone to share stories with. Your time and company could make a significant difference in her life.

As a social visitor, you will have the opportunity to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Regular visits from volunteers can bring great joy to those they visit.

This volunteer role is perfect for someone who enjoys listening and sharing conversations. You will be matched with a client who shares similar interests and preferences.

Requirements

18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arrangedand paid for by the organization
• Working with Vulnerable people check

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit clients in their homes for a chat and companionship
  • Build relationships with clients and understand their needs and preferences
  • Report any concerns or issues to the team
