Job Description

As a key point of contact for both new and existing volunteers, you will support the daily operations of our volunteer program. You will provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the Volunteer Manager, helping ensure every stage of the volunteer experience is well-organised and welcoming.

Tasks include entering and maintaining accurate volunteer records, assisting with onboarding processes and compliance requirements, preparing communications and event materials, and helping coordinate key volunteer events throughout the year. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to a smooth, well-supported program that strengthens community engagement and enhances the wellbeing of older people.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and professionally across a range of audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly in data entry and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and timely updates across all systems.
  • A motivated and well-organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing demands.
  • Effective time management skills, with confidence in handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word and Excel, along with experience navigating HR/payroll or databasesystems.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.
  • A proactive mindset, using initiative to identify and resolve issues, particularly in the context of event coordination and volunteer support.
  • Commitment to working in alignment with core values: integrity, respect, compassion, and innovation.
  • Current NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with volunteers through in-person, phone, and email communication.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of older people.
