We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to join our team at St John of God Health Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to women and their families during the perinatal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychiatric services in line with the Raphael Services Model of care and the Social Outreach Strategic Objectives.
  • Offer secondary perinatal and infant mental health consultation and liaison.
  • Contribute to the development of a community-based mental health service that positively impacts the lives of parents and families in need.
  • Provide clinical education, training, and supervision to clinicians, trainees, and students.
  • Actively participate in the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of perinatal and infant mental health promotion, prevention, and early intervention initiatives.
Requirements
  • Registration from the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated substantial clinical experience in the management of high acuity patients in a complex hospital environment.
  • Ability to implement sustainable change to improve patient safety and reduce unnecessary delays in patient management.
