We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to oversee the kitchen operations of our resort. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team, managing food and labor costs, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional chef to join our team and take on the challenge of managing a busy and high-performing kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and guiding kitchen staff to deliver excellence in food quality and presentation.
  • Developing and implementing new menu ideas, including associated costing and pricing strategies.
  • Managing inventory, stock control, and food waste reduction initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as adherence to our company's food standards and procedures.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Head Chef in a similar environment.
  • Formal culinary qualifications, such as a degree or diploma in hospitality or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of OHS/HACCP principles and practices within a kitchen environment.
