Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Specialist

As a Health and Wellbeing Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting and developing strategic change management initiatives that enhance the quality of health services for Aboriginal people across NSW.
This includes projects that foster better integration of care across sectors. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including ACI Clinical Networks, local health districts, and specialty health networks managers and clinicians, as well as the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector.
Your primary focus will be on facilitating the contribution of internal and external stakeholders in the innovation of new programs, frameworks, and models of care and clinical guidelines across the state.
In addition to this, you will provide high-level advice and executive support functions to senior committees and taskforces.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such under section 14 (d) of the NSW Antidiscrimination Act (1977), with knowledge and experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice which is strategic and adds value to a project at a statewide level.
- High-level community development skills including the ability to manage and support multidisciplinary teams.
