Education and Wellbeing Specialist

This role is a key contributor to the development of Aboriginal education and engagement strategies. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support to schools, educational services teams, and key stakeholders on all aspects of Aboriginal education.

The position involves developing evidence-based programs, professional learning, and instructional resources to enhance teacher capability and school leadership. Delivering improvement at scale through local support to groups of teachers or tailored to schools and principal networks is also an essential part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that support education change for improved student learning outcomes.

  • Provide guidance on Aboriginal education policy and ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

  • Liaise and negotiate with stakeholders, working collaboratively within and across teams.

Requirements:

  • A strong commitment to Aboriginal education and community engagement.

  • Proven teaching qualifications and recent experience in the K-12 range or recent NSBTS experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and influence a large team.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
