Medical Device Coordinator Role Overview

Job Description

The Medical Device Coordinator plays a vital role in the sterilisation process, ensuring the care, handling and reprocessing of loaned Reusable Medical Devices. This critical position requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail to meet the needs of the perioperative team.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all loaned Reusable Medical Devices, including care, handling and reprocessing.
  • Support the sterilisation process and collaborate with the perioperative team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Certificate III qualification in Sterilising Services.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a Sterilising Unit.
  • Strong interest in mentoring and development of staff.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
  • Strong attention to detail and process improvement orientation.
