Job Title

This is a critical role that involves working on the most critical systems in our data centers. As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our critical infrastructure, including diesel power generators, HVAC and fire suppression systems.

You will work closely with other engineers, technicians, and vendors to ensure that our facilities are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and collaborating with other teams to implement new projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and manage routine and corrective maintenance on critical systems such as switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Help with the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
  • Create and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability and reliability.
  • Manage facility assets and provision of infrastructure and inventory asset management.
  • Manage on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is observing established practices, procedures and local legislation.
