Role Overview

This part-time position, working three days a week, reports directly to the Group Head of Advocacy, Research, and Communications. The primary responsibility of this role is to enhance engagement across Access Community Services' network of member organizations.

The position has a significant impact and requires a diverse skill set, including relationship management, stakeholder engagement, strong writing and presentation abilities, influencing skills, and external promotion. You will elevate and enhance the profile and reputation of Access Community Services through effective relationship building, agile advocacy, and thought leadership, while seeking opportunities for collaborative promotion of activities, events, and initiatives.

This role will collaborate with various operational functions, including Stakeholder Relations, Government Relations, Research & Policy, and Program/Service Delivery teams, as well as engage with members of the Corporate Affairs, Marketing, and Communication team, which encompasses media, events, and digital marketing.

Access Community Services partners with several member organizations to deliver programs. This role is designed to work closely with these organizations to ensure their contributions within Access Community Services are recognized both internally and externally. The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships with Access Community Services members and designated community sector stakeholders.
  • Building trusted partnerships with stakeholders to position Access Community Services for future success.
  • Collaborating with the Government Relations and Policy teams to create joint advocacy opportunities between Access Community Services and its members.
  • Participating in events and networking opportunities to promote the overarching goals and objectives of Access Community Services.
  • Providing support for capacity building, public relations, and event coordination.
  • Facilitating communication with Access Community Services members, including project updates and networking sessions.
  • Implementing the member strategy, including organizing professional development initiatives such as media training, government relations training, and social skills training, while coordinating with relevant teams in Corporate Affairs, Marketing, and Communication for timely execution.
  • Planning and delivering member-focused activities, including educational workshops, webinars, events, and social functions.
  • Collaborating with the Internal Communications Specialist to enhance the visibility of Access Community Services' members and their roles.
  • Organizing and managing member relations meetings to ensure proper governance and documentation.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as needed, including reporting and maintaining distribution lists.
  • Attending meetings and functions as assigned.
