We are looking for a skilled Logistics Operations Supervisor to oversee our operations.

Reporting directly to the State Manager, this role involves hands-on management of the depot to ensure safe, legal, and efficient operations. Your proactive mindset, quick decision-making skills, and leadership qualities will be essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance local and linehaul service delivery to meet client expectations
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, ensuring timely collections and deliveries
  • Manage branch operations, workforce, and vehicle resources to meet delivery and service goals
  • Lead operations personnel, ensuring compliance with established procedures
  • Plan and supervise all fleet maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees
  • Adhere to company policies and legal requirements regarding safety, handling of hazardous materials, traffic regulations, and government standards
  • Monitor operational costs against budgetary targets set by the State Manager
  • Maintain security of property, equipment, and site
  • Engage in a hands-on role that allows for impactful contributions
Candidate Profile
  • At least 2 years of experience in Operational Management within the Transport & Logistics sector
  • Demonstrated success in planning, scheduling, and managing both local and interstate freight transport
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Able to collaborate effectively with sales, administrative, and operational teams
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • TLIF3063 - Apply Fatigue Management Strategies (Scheduler) - Preferred or willing to obtain
  • TLIF2010 - Apply Fatigue Management Strategies (Driver) - Preferred or willing to obtain
  • Forklift License - preferred
