We are looking for a skilled Logistics Operations Supervisor to oversee our transport activities.
Reporting directly to the State Manager, this role involves the effective and compliant management of depot operations. Your proactive mindset, quick decision-making skills, and leadership abilities will be key in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance local and linehaul service delivery to meet client expectations
- Coordinate the timely movement of inbound and outbound freight
- Manage branch operations, workforce, and vehicle assets to meet service and delivery goals
- Lead operational staff while ensuring compliance with established procedures
- Plan and oversee fleet maintenance and repairs
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees
- Adhere to company policies and legal regulations regarding health and safety, handling of hazardous materials, and traffic laws
- Monitor operational expenses against budgetary targets set by the State Manager
- Maintain security and integrity of property and equipment
- Engage in hands-on management to drive operational improvements
- At least 2 years of experience in Operational Management within the Transport & Logistics sector
- Demonstrated success in planning, scheduling, and managing freight transport
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to collaborate with sales, administrative, and operational teams
- Proficient in computer applications
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- TLIF3063 - Apply Fatigue Management Strategies (Scheduler) - Preferred or willing to obtain
- TLIF2010 - Apply Fatigue Management Strategies (Driver) - Preferred or willing to obtain
- Forklift License - preferred
