We are looking for a skilled Logistics Operations Supervisor to oversee our operations.

Reporting directly to the State Manager, this role requires a proactive approach to ensure the efficient, legal, and economical management of the depot. Your leadership skills and quick decision-making will be essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance local and linehaul service delivery to clients
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight to ensure timely collections and deliveries
  • Manage branch operations, workforce, and vehicle resources to meet delivery and service goals
  • Lead operations personnel while ensuring compliance with standard procedures
  • Plan and oversee all fleet repairs and maintenance activities
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees
  • Adhere to company policies and legal requirements related to Work Health and Safety, handling of hazardous materials, traffic regulations, and government standards
  • Monitor operational costs against budgets and targets set by the State Manager
  • Maintain property, equipment, and site security
  • Engage in hands-on management to drive improvements
Candidate Profile
  • At least 2 years of experience in Operational Management within the Transport & Logistics sector
  • Demonstrated success in planning, scheduling, and managing transport for local and interstate freight
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Able to manage sales, administrative, and operational teams
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • TLIF3063 - Apply Fatigue Management Strategies (Scheduler) - Preferred or willing to obtain
  • TLIF2010 - Apply Fatigue Management Strategies (Driver) - Preferred or willing to obtain
  • Forklift License - preferred
