Project Governance Specialist

The Project Governance Specialist will oversee all aspects of project governance, from planning and budgeting to risk management and stakeholder coordination. This role requires strong communication across various organisational levels, effective collaboration with internal and client stakeholders, and the ability to make autonomous decisions while prioritising and escalating issues when necessary. Key tasks include managing project scope, tracking progress, handling change requests, and ensuring timely reporting on project status.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure projects are delivered in alignment with the determined project framework (i.e. Waterfall, Scrum, Agile)
- Establish strict project governance and frameworks across projects under their purview
- Coordinate multiple streams or projects to represent a single view, including development of project
- Schedules, Risk Register, Actions Registers, Issue Registers, and other associated project deliverables
- Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and tasks
- Implement project framework and governance processes
- Apply specialised project management methodologies, tools, and templates where appropriate
- Enhance the organisation's project capabilities by regularly engaging project teams
- Support business resources in the implementation of projects and initiatives of all sizes
- Ensure client expectations align with Probe goals
- Analyse and manage change requests against the project scope
About You
You are an experienced project governance specialist with strong skills in project management and stakeholder coordination. You're adept at handling multiple projects, applying methodologies like PRINCE2, Waterfall, Scrum, or Agile, and have a background in client-facing, implementation-focused work. Ideally, you bring relevant qualifications and experience in BPO or similar environments, along with the ability to make independent decisions and manage priorities effectively.
About the Role
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity leave cover. The role is based in Melbourne and requires a high level of experience with stakeholder coordination and management. Previous experience in a similar role is critical.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
