Emergency Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Management Specialist to join our team. This key role will be responsible for implementing and training the emergency response team and safety management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and train emergency response team captains in protocols and procedures.
  • Support the emergency response team through training packages and site personnel development.
  • Implement, train and support the emergency response team.
  • Develop and maintain a specific skill set to facilitate the development of the emergency response team.
  • Support site access control with fit-for-work testing and contribute to the ongoing development and communication of the site's health and safety management system.
  • Review, inspect and audit the site's emergency response facilities, processes and documents to ensure compliance with site and legislative standards.

Requirements:

  • Certificate 4 Trainer/Assessor (desirable).
  • Certificate 3 Mines Rescue.
  • Occupational First Aid.
  • Cert 4 HLT Ambulance Diploma in Emergency Management (desirable).

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in emergency response, preferably in mining or construction, and be skilled in a wide range of injury and illness response protocols and techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft software and general database use is also required, as well as competence in writing and reviewing management plans, procedures and other H&S related system documentation.
