Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Leisure and Lifestyle Team Leader who is committed to enriching the lives of our residents. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creating and overseeing a variety of engaging activities that empower our residents to lead fulfilling lives. Your primary focus will be on developing meaningful activity programs rooted in our person-centered care philosophy, mentoring your team, and significantly contributing to the health and wellbeing of our cherished residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement inclusive and engaging activity programs tailored to the diverse needs of residents, including those with dementia and challenging behaviors.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of WHS principles to safeguard the wellbeing of residents.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents and staff.
  • Plan and execute creative activities that foster social inclusion and enjoyment.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to program planning and reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Cert III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle.
  • Demonstrated experience in leisure and lifestyle roles, particularly in aged care settings.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in team management.
  • Exceptional organizational and computer skills.
  • Possession of an unrestricted driver’s license; a bus license or willingness to obtain is preferred.
  • A creative mindset with a passion for arts and crafts.
  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
