About the Role:
The Gunnedah Shire Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled Operator Recreation Facilities Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our parks and gardens maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our public spaces, ensuring they remain accessible and enjoyable for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain assigned plant and equipment effectively, safely, and in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Council's Occupational Health and Safety policies and legislative requirements.
- Perform general mowing maintenance operational works required to maintain Council's parks and reserves, including the operation of mowers, small plant, and hand tools.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to complete work programs in accordance with agreed timeframes and standards.
- Apply Occupational Health and Safety and risk management systems in accordance with Council's policies and procedures.
- Complete assigned administrative tasks accurately and in accordance with Council's policies and procedures.
- Maintain required qualifications essential for the position and undertake agreed training to meet the position's desired skill level.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
Key Requirements:
- An appropriate Certificate 3 qualification or willingness to undertake professional development, or 3 years' experience in a relevant field.
- A valid driver's license.
- A Work Health and Safety Construction Induction Certificate.
