About the Role

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to top accounting and auditing standards, delivering accurate and timely financial reports to management.

You will refine and enhance our accounting systems, provide leadership and guidance to the accounts team, and implement processes to improve efficiency and quality within the finance function.

  • Manage and develop accounting staff, conduct daily team huddles, and perform biannual performance reviews.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including cash flow management and credit risk.
  • Maintain and update asset registers, directors' interest calculations, and leasing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance policies and manage annual renewals.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist with annual operating budgets.
  • Handle payroll oversight, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Implement and refine processes to improve efficiency and maintain data integrity.
  • Address ad-hoc tasks and support finance department changes as required.
About You

  • Experience in manufacturing Business is desirable.
  • Experience in construction or projects business is desirable.
  • Significant experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Excel.
  • Knowledge of AASB15 and core accounting standards.
  • Experience in cash flow and working capital management.
  • Excellent data entry and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to change.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
