Geospatial Data Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Data Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a nationally significant project, contributing to the improvement and accessibility of historical aerial photography (HAP) image collections.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing HAP metadata using automation scripts, generating georeferenced information, and uploading and updating spatial databases with imagery and raster datasets.

Key responsibilities include conducting quality checks, flagging issues, and preparing final files for catalogue upload, as well as supporting improvements to processes and maintaining accurate task documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with FME and ArcGIS Pro software.
  • Strong skills managing and cataloguing spatial data, particularly imagery and raster.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems (AWS).
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail with a methodical, structured approach.
  • Understanding of imagery acquisition from aircraft platforms (desirable).
