The role of a Survey and Spatial Science Technician at RM Surveys is to provide critical support to our team in the Perth Metro area.

Key responsibilities include data entry, conversion of steel fabrication plans, formulation of as-constructed survey sketches, planning and organisational support for Senior Surveyors and Managers, organising work programs, coordinating with clients, compiling data, setting out design information, conducting redundant checks, understanding quoted cost and time allowances, and calibration of survey equipment.

We are seeking an individual with a strong background in spatial analysis and AutoCAD software, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work within a team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in surveying or higher qualification, experience working in construction surveying (preferably in Australia), high computer literacy, appreciation for safety and safe work methods, Australian working rights (preferably based in Perth), and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Job Requirements:

  • Formulating, updating, and revising plans of as-constructed survey sketches and marks-placed drawings in line with codes of practice
  • Planning and organisational support for Senior Surveyors and Managers
  • Organising work programs and coordinating with clients
  • Compiling data and setting out design information as per calculated information from surveying instruments
  • Complete redundant checks of completed work to ensure accuracy of marks placed
  • Understand quoted cost and time allowances for projects
  • Calibration and checking of survey equipment to meet compliance requirements
