Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated recent graduate to join our Defence Solutions team as a graduate engineer. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage in significant projects that play a vital role in safeguarding our nation's defense assets. Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

  • Oversee project components, including quality assurance, logistics, reporting, compliance, subcontractor oversight, and supply management.
  • Assist project management with administrative duties such as managing project briefs, timelines, action logs, budgets, and performance tracking.

Documentation & Planning:

  • Develop project documentation, including plans, Gantt charts, and specifications for smaller projects.
  • Ensure project outputs meet quality standards and align with best practices.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Support risk assessments and create mitigation and contingency strategies.
  • Conduct job safety analyses for unfamiliar or non-standard work processes.
  • Prepare cost estimates and specifications to aid procurement efforts.

Project Performance:

  • Contribute to achieving key performance metrics and objectives for projects.
  • Establish and monitor project controls to ensure delivery within quality, time, and budget constraints.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed and report findings to management.

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Civil, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites.
