The Certified Nursing Assistant provides daily routine care to residents and patients in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provides personal care activities for residents and patients such as hygiene, elimination, comfort and safety, ambulation, lifting, skin care, nutrition, and hydration.
- Assists with the application of nursing treatments as required.
- Observes and reports the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdown.
Responsibilities include checking rooms for unauthorized items, maintaining clean and sanitary work areas, attending care conferences, and sharing observations that may improve department operations. Additionally, caregivers are responsible for reporting changes in a resident's or patient's condition and ensuring accurate documentation in their medical record.
RequirementsTo be successful as a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will need:
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- Being certified as a Nurse Aide (CNA) on the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry.
