Job Description

As a Diploma Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that supports the growth and development of children in our Melbourne Campuses. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of educators who are passionate about early childhood education.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Registered Training Organisation (or ACECQA approved equivalent) and a minimum of two years full-time relevant work experience. You will possess excellent communication skills, be able to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and have a genuine passion for early childhood education and development.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging learning environments aligned with OAC Grow.
  • Educate and care for children to high standards, engaging them in meaningful, open interactions that support life and learning skills.
  • Develop and implement programs specific to the room, including small groups.
  • Document children's learning through the OAC Connect app.
  • Mentor a team of Educators through educational guidance.
  • Foster partnerships with families, children, and educators to achieve positive outcomes.
Requirements
  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Registered Training Organisation (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
  • A minimum of two years full-time relevant work experience.
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
  • Ability to manage the team within the room.
  • Experience with communicating and liaising with parents and families.
  • Documenting children's learning.
