Job Description:

As an Environmental Waste Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving best-practice waste management across our aquaculture operations. Your key responsibilities will include managing environmental waste data, centralizing waste management systems, advancing circular economy initiatives, leading enterprise-wide collaboration, supporting Environmental Management System (EMS) development and implementation, overseeing contractor performance, engaging with regulators, and conducting site inspections.

Key requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree in science, environmental science, or environmental engineering, or extensive experience in waste management delivery. You should also have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in an environmental or waste management role, a driver's license, reliable transport, and the ability to travel between operational sites as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong understanding of waste management principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify areas for improvement.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

  • Experience with Environmental Management Systems implementation is highly desirable.
