As a senior manufacturing technician in our silicone and myoelectrics department, you will be working in a state-of-the-art workshop with a dedicated team of professionals.
You will play a key role in the production, repair, and maintenance of artificial limbs, carbon fibre, and silicone orthotic devices and myoelectric prostheses according to prescription specifications.
The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge and experience in silicone prosthetics and orthotics manufacturing, enabling them to create high-quality custom devices for a wide range of client needs.
Key responsibilities will include communicating with clinical and technical staff on matters of design, logistics, and best practice to ensure jobs are manufactured to the highest standard of quality and in a timely and professional manner.
Additionally, you may be required to assist in undertaking research and tests from time to time to develop and optimise our manufacturing techniques.
Requirements- A minimum Diploma level or higher qualification in a relevant field such as Orthotics, Prosthetics or Occupational therapy.
- At least five years' experience as a manufacturing technician in the same or a similar role.
- Previous documented experience of silicone and myoelectrics manufacturing is essential.
This is a permanent, full-time position (34 hours/week) with flexible working hours available. The salary for this role is $82,000 p.a., with attractive bonuses available if professional goals and KPIs are achieved.
A competitive remuneration package will also be offered to the successful applicant.
