Aon: Strategy Manager Role in Sydney

We are seeking an experienced strategy professional to join our Aon Strategy and Technology Group (STG) based in Sydney.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality consulting projects, with a strong understanding of the insurance industry and its challenges.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives, develop proposals and project initiation documents, and lead the delivery of consulting projects.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills working alongside a diverse and close-knit team across Asia Pacific, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that drive business growth.

About the Role

  • Engage with (re)insurers to identify and prioritize value-maximising strategic initiatives
  • Draft proposals and project initiation documents for high-priority initiatives
  • Lead the delivery of consulting projects to help (re)insurers achieve their strategic goals
  • Plan and facilitate interviews and workshops with clients and Aon colleagues
  • Lead the production of consulting reports and other client deliverables
  • Manage junior team members in the delivery of desk-based research, data analysis, and other work streams
  • Actively participate in the identification and communication of recommendations to clients
  • Support the implementation and execution of strategic recommendations
  • Develop your internal network to connect with Aon's market practitioners as required by client-focused activity

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience working in (re)insurance or financial services (5+ years)
  • An interest in or experience within the insurance industry, its challenges, and evolutions
  • Able to build and manage trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills
  • Good autonomy and organization
  • Able to act with conviction and be a people-influencer with both managers and operational teams
  • At ease with analyzing large/complex data sets and distilling useful insights from them
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Graduate degree in business, finance, or equivalent
