We are currently seeking a Dedicated Support Specialist to join our Community Support Team in Southern Tasmania.

About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives. As a Dedicated Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, including skills development and promoting independence within their homes and communities.

You will also be responsible for administrative tasks, such as shift reports, incident reports, and household communication diaries, ensuring timely and accurate completion of required documentation.

We use active support principles to assist participants in completing tasks, encouraging active participation to the best of their abilities.

In this role, you will work independently or as part of a team to undertake various duties, including meal preparation, household shopping, ironing, basic garden maintenance, vacuuming, pruning, pet care, and other basic home maintenance tasks.

You will be responsible for implementing Person-Centred Practices, working effectively in a team environment, and possessing strong communication skills, both verbally and written.

A current and unrestricted driver's licence is mandatory for this role.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
