We're seeking a highly skilled Family Support Specialist to join our team in Hobart. As a key member of our Integrated Family Support Services (IFSS) team, you will play a crucial role in providing professional support to families with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coordinated family support services to families referred to our program.
  • Deliver case management support through outreach and home visits.
  • Build family capacity using strengths-based approaches.
  • Offer evidence-based parenting information and education materials.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced family support practitioner to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. You will have the chance to work closely with our team to identify the needs of families and develop strategies to support them.

As a Family Support Specialist, you will be responsible for working with a diverse range of families, including those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds. Your ability to build strong relationships and think creatively will be essential in this role.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Health, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in case management and family support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and cultures.
  • Understanding of the importance of early childhood development and trauma-informed practice.
