Aboriginal Health Program Specialist

This is a key position within our organization focused on developing and implementing health promotion programs targeting HIV, STIs, and viral hepatitis among Aboriginal communities.
The role involves delivering outcomes aligned with local, state, and national strategies by building partnerships between services, organizations, and sectors serving these communities.
We are seeking an Aboriginal identified individual to bring their cultural capability and lived experience to this critical role. Cultural competence will be assessed throughout the recruitment process.
- Relevant qualifications in a health-related field or significant experience working in healthcare or health promotion, preferably within government or non-government sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in current HIV, sexual health, and hepatitis prevention, testing, and treatment methods, as well as knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal communities.
- Able to initiate, develop, deliver, evaluate, and report on health-related projects, utilizing strong organizational and communication skills.
- Highly effective team player able to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve agreed-upon objectives.
