Job Description

Nestl's Oceania Logistics team is seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to join their team in Gympie. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating an optimised replenishment plan for raw and packaging materials that ensures supply of material to production while meeting working capital targets.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of operations experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry, with advanced SAP systems experience highly desirable. They will also possess excellent communication skills, stakeholder management expertise, and interpersonal skills. A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, Marketing, IT, or a related field is preferred.

This site-based role requires a proactive, thorough, and detailed individual who can work effectively within a team environment. The right person must have a high level of relationship building and a solution-focused attitude. Experience in stakeholder management and interpersonal skills are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely supply of Raw & Pack Materials to meet Production requirements
  • Monitor supply signals through MRP purchase requisitions, ensuring delivery dates, lead times, and required quantities are correct
  • Manage supplier deliveries, including creation, sending, confirming, receiving, investigating errors, and discrepancies on blocked or parked invoice lines
  • Work with Oceania Purchasing, Factory Logistics, and Applications to approve new supply lines and manage material specifications
  • Implement best practice workflow management and purchasing policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2+ years of operations experience in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry
  • Advanced SAP systems experience highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven capacity to work effectively within a team environment
  • Solution-focused attitude and high attention to detail
