Child and Youth Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Youth Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in Hobart, Tasmania.

The ideal candidate will have two years of post-registration supervised experience in a clinical area directly applicable to Child and Youth Mental Health Services.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in contemporary psychological practice with children and adolescents, including evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions.
  • High-level interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, including demonstrated experience in liaising effectively with other services and agencies in the context of providing specialized psychological mental health assessment, advice, and training.

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment undertaking various evidence-based assessments across multiple CYMHS program areas. You will work closely with stakeholders, including consumers and their care teams, to understand presenting issues and develop and deliver appropriate treatment options.

The successful applicant will be required to meet the essential criteria, including a tertiary qualification approved by the Psychology Board of Australia, registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, and current Working with Children Registration.
