Note, knowledge and experience working in mental health services and out of home care would be ideal.
Our Aim: The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing The positions available are within our new teams which are currently being developed as initiatives under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, OOHC).
The Allied Health Professional will be part of the OOHC Program and will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach, trauma informed therapy, and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical care.
The role will include: Being part of a dynamic and well-supported team committed to delivering high-quality, multisystemic, mental health services to children and young people in out of home care (OOHC).
Undertaking clinical services through the provision of evidence-based assessment, therapies, and case management including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.
Working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Participating in supervision, peer support and ongoing professional learning opportunities.
Collaborating with care teams – that may include Child Safety Services, NGOs, Schools, psychiatrists, GP's and other Agencies – to optimise service effectiveness, efficiency, and continuity of care.

Details of appointment: One Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:$110,425 to $121,907 per annum.
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.
2 of 2022.
Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme Benefits Available To Eligible Candidate You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.

Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia and Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia and Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia; or Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW; or Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia and is a full member of Speech Pathology Australia or is eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia Current Working with Children Registration Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
