Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee the day-to-day operational activities at Melbourne Airport. The successful candidate will ensure smooth operations, compliance excellence, and outstanding customer experiences across all ISS aviation points.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily operations and compliance activities ensuring optimal performance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the first escalation point for security-related concerns and provide timely resolutions.
  • Conduct regular audits and support internal investigations to maintain high standards of security and compliance.
  • Monitor staffing, rostering, and operational calendars to ensure seamless execution of tasks and activities.
  • Drive performance management and staff development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and productivity.
  • Communicate operational changes and release Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and toolbox talks to ensure effective knowledge sharing.
  • Champion customer service aligned with ISS and Melbourne Airport standards, promoting a positive experience for all stakeholders.
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
  • Promote and maintain Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and practices, prioritizing employee well-being and safety.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in aviation or similar environments.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a focus on developing and empowering teams.
  • Experience in managing operational compliance and performance, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Organised, outcome-focused, and deadline-driven, with a proven ability to work under pressure.
  • High personal integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards.
